Back from Vacation

The beauty of having time away from our every day lives
while surrounded by the glory of God
allows us to relax, reflect and rejuvenate.
Hello dear friends!
How good it is to be back
in our little community of Blogging.
I look forward to catching up with you
and enjoying the beauty in which you share with us.
As I was away on vacation I made sure that
the internet and my phone were turned off
and it made for a very relaxing time.
To start off our time in Canada my husband and his dad competed in the
World Crokinole Championships.
Though they did not take home the trophy,
they both had a great time and walked away
with a few extra winnings in the form of cash.

I had the joy of putting quite a few miles on my $20.00 bike.
Isn't she a beauty? :)
I purchased her in Arizona from a lady in the RV Park where my mother stays.
She's a cruiser with no gears, so a good work-out.
Not sure how I will do here in the mountains with no gears. Ha!
I have always enjoyed walking the Rail Trail,
Boardwalk, and the beautiful bike path on the Lake Shore road,
but this time I found myself  riding more than walking.
There is never a shortage of benches near Lake Huron.
There I would sit and talk with the Lord.

My husband and I had a delightful time playing
with our remote cars on the beach.
These cars make me laugh!
Because of the faces my husband has put on them
I believe it gives them their personalities.
Notice the red car coming up close to the seagull?
I believe the seagull was enjoying the fun too.

Tobermory up on the Bruce Peninsula has become one of my favorite places to visit.
There we have enjoyed some beautiful hiking adventures.
This time we enjoyed the day hiking at Cyprus Lake.

I know most people would rather you NOT feed the seagulls,
but these guys joined us on the rocks
and made for some great entertainment.

Here is the Georgian Bay in all it's beauty.
I love the green color of the water.
This is called the "Grotto" and the hike has quite the rock.
One year we hiked this area when it was raining
and boy it was dangerous walking on those wet rocks.
Gorgeous isn't it?

Evening shots of the beach as the sun was going down.

Those beautiful nights as we walked hand in hand on the beach
taking in the beauty of the sunsets.

Even the seagull was lit up with the beauty of the sunset.
God's glory~Every bit of it!

"And one cried unto another, and said,
Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts:
the whole earth is full of his glory."
(Isaiah 6:3)
Amen.

Joy!
~Debbie~

So glad to see you back! Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. What wonderful photos! I'll bet those remote cars are fun. How nice to find a bike at a good price like that. I personally would prefer a bike that didn't have gears. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Debbie, So glad you enjoyed a wonderful and restful time on your vacation. Your photos are incredible. My friend you are very talented with your camera. Love your bike. My hubby and I have been riding too. Our bikes have gears but I would love to have one like yours. No gears and a comfortable seat. I also would like to find an old one to place in the front yard by the oak tree with flowers in the basket. I'll keep looking.
So enjoyed your post and was so happy to see it in my inbox this morning.
Welcome back home and Happy Summer. Blessings to you dear friend. Have a beautiful day!! xo

Welcome home! Thank you for sharing your vacation and those wonderful photos with us. It sounds like a great time with your husband.

I rode my bike yesterday for the first time in quite a while. It was more of a workout than I expected. You got a great deal on yours.

Oh wow!!! Y'all had a great vacation! I love the photos and narrative. It's as if you took me on my very own mini-vaca :-) Glad you had a good time and came back relaxed and refreshed. I think many of my conversations with the Lord take place either on the beach or watching the sunrise. It's such a peaceful place to commune with the Almighty. {{hugs}}

So happy that you had such a lovely relaxing vacation. Your photos are outstanding! They make me wish I could go there and relax. I had to look up what Crokinole was. I had never heard of it. We had a Carrom board when I was young that must be similar to that game only it is square and has pockets. Happy that you are rested and back with us. Hugs!

Welcome home, Debbie, love your bike, and you know that is the sort of bike we all learned to ride on (of the older generation) and we didn't even know what gears were on a regular bike so guess it is doing like we did eh?? we used to get off and walk up the hills then skoot down the other side.. woohoo!
Thanks so much for sharing the beauties of God creation and dont feed birds cos teaches them bad manners. Not wise as they can hurt more vulnerable folks, like children etc. . visitors don't realise that often.. eg if it was a child who he flew at instead of your husband with his sandwich.. but each to his own :D
God bless sis,

Welcome back Debbie! So nice to see a post from you today. Your vacation sounds like it was wonderful. We used to take our children over to Canada every summer and go camping on the shores of Lake Huron. Some beautiful sunsets! and good memories. Well, I had to look up crokinole! Never heard of it before; sounds like a Canadian board game? Love your bike, and your little race cars. How fun! And isn't the Georgian Bay beautiful? xo Deborah

Oh, precious Debbie, it's so nice to see all the beautiful photos and read the recap of your wonderful and (what sounds like) truly refreshing vacation! It was certainly well deserved and timely. I love the water myself having grown up in NJ and always spending a lot of time "down the shore" as is said in New Jersey. Here in FL and most other places, it's at the beach. Anyway, it's a joy to see the glorious photos that you've captured of just a bit of the beauty of this earth that God has given us. And oh, what beauty heaven will be. But until then, it's a joy to see the magnificent sunsets and beaches and all sorts of things here. Such a lovely visit with you, sweet friend....until next time! Hugs and love!

Debbie! So nice to see our flag flying when tomorrow is Canada Day! Gosh, I've so missed 'seeing' you and reading your cheerful, wise words. Your vacation looks so lovely and I have a feeling you drove by on the Hwy 400 about 3 miles from my house to get to your destination! This post was so lovely to read and the photos made me smile wide. I think you should be living in Canada, my friend!
So glad you're back!! Love to you.
